Accepting Applications for Vacancy on Beverly Hills Advisory Council
The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applications for a
vacant position on the Beverly Hills Advisory Council. This board is made up of volun-
teers, appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, and is responsible for both short
and long range plans for the revenue generated by the Municipal Service Benefit Unit
(MSBU) assessment in Beverly Hills. The Beverly Hills Advisory Council meets at 10:00
am on the second Monday of each month at the Beverly Hills Community Building in
Beverly Hills. The member position is for a two year term that expires on January 31, 2018.
Applicants are required to be a property owner within the MSBU district and registered to
vote in Citrus County. Applications which meet the eligibility requirements will be for-
warded to the Board of County Commissioners for evaluation, nomination and selection.

Earth Day Celebration At Wildlife Park
Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park will be celebrating Earth
Day on Saturday, April 23, 2016. Exhibits from environmental organizations will be set up
in the Visitor Center of the park's main entrance located on US 19 and in the Garden of the
Springs. Exhibits by Save the Manatee Club, Homosassa River Garden Club, Melody's
Bees (Buzz'd Republic), Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park, Nature World Wild-
life Rescue, Homosassa Heritage Council and Environmental Science Academy and the
Citrus County Audubon Society. The monthly bird walk starts at 8 am. and the park opens
at 9 am.
