A wanted man from Georgia suspected of murder and rape in Cobb County, Geor-

gia was arrested, at his Citrus Hills residence.

After a lengthy forensic investigation, the Cobb County Police Department identi-

fied the man linked to a 1991 homicide and another rape case as George Gengarelly, 63,

who was known to live in Marion County.

The Cobb County PD called upon the Ocala Police Department to help them find

Gengarelly. However, after looking further into the case, the Ocala PD learned that the sus-

pect was living at Citrus Hills home in Citrus County.

Ocala PD detectives contacted the Citrus County Sheriff s Office (CCSO) to assist

them in tracking down Gengarelly. Investigators with the Cobb County PD and detectives

with the CCSO s Eastside Community Crimes and Tactical Impact Units made contact with
