Citrus Commissioners Make Decision
Remembering the Past
on CountybyRoadCounty Board of County Com-

In a special meeting held last week
the Citrus
missioners, staff presented four options for the future direction of County Road 491. After
almost 3 hours of commissioner discussion and public comment, the Board approved by a
5-0 vote to move forward with Option 4, which is a 4 lane-6 lane regional drainage (150
ft. right of way) plan from W Laurel Street to W Lee Ann Street. An amendment was made
by Commissioner Dennis Damato to direct staff to explore options on property agreements
available from Line Street to Southern Street.
The presentation included cost breakdowns on design, engineering, traffic signals,
sidewalks, utility relocation, construction costs, loans and interest rates. Please visit http://
