Commissioner to Hold a Town Hall Meeting in March
Commissioner Ron Kitchen Jr. announced Monday the first in a series of Town
Hall Meetings will be held onThursday, March 12 for the general public to attend. The
meeting will be held at the Homosassa Library, located at 4100 S. Grandmarch Avenue in
Homosassa, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
"I want the public to know that I am continuing to listen," stated Kitchen. "I want
to hear about any issues our citizens are currently facing. This is a forum for citizens to share
their thoughts and for me to listen. And I might not be able to solve every problem, but I can
try to lead them to the right person who can."
Commissioner Kitchen is encouraging citizens to bring forward any issues deal-
ing with county government from delivery of services to budgetary issues to suggestions
on how to improve transparency in county government. For more information, please call

Citrus Animal Services Sees Progress with Renovations
Citrus County Animal Services began renovating the current animal shelter facility

foster families. Citrus Pet Re-
sort and Stay and Play Getaway boarded some of the dogs at their facilities. Several citizens
donated larger crates for bigger dogs. Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection pro-
vided assistance with arranging offsite boarding and transportation for dogs.
Facilities Maintenance Division staff have worked diligently to accomplish each
part of these renovations. Citrus County Animal Services is proud of the work that has been
accomplished and invites the public to come see how much brighter our kennels look and
