Clara Ezell Blair of Inglis passed away on February 24 at the age of 77. Clara was

born into the Jessie and Fannie Ezell family November 11, 1932. Clara lived her life and

raised her family in Inglis. Like many locals, Clara knew how to fish and work the waters

and the land to sustain her family. She passed on to all of her family her talents in the out-

doors. This woman was not afraid of work. She would throw on her work clothes and white

rubber boots and jump whole heartedly into any mission. Growing up and shopping here

you could always find Clara’s fresh caught trot line catfish for sale locally. Clara made trips

to Georgia and brought back peaches and Vadalia onions to sell to her many friends. Clara

was a dedicated family person who instilled manners and good ethics in her kids. She used

this talent as a Levy County School bus driver for more than 20 years until she retired.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband William H Blair Sr 10 years ago and

sisters Maude Price and Arita Brooker and brother Culley Ezell. Surviving is a son William

H Bubba Blair Jr (Debra) and daughter Shirley Kennedy (Allen) both of Inglis, brother JC

Ezell (Pat) of Blairsville GA, and 3 sisters, Hazel Hudson of Tarpon Springs, Florene Butler

of Ocala, and Margaret Baggett (Wilbur) of Inglis, 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchil-

Clara joined many family members Saturday in Cedars of Lebanon Cemetery.

Clara will long be remembered by those that she touched their lives and her pioneer survival

spirit will live on in each of her family members. Clara I am privileged to say I knew you

long and knew you well. You deserve a prominent place in the history of Inglis.
