Monkey sightings in the Williston area

Last Thursday, March 22, citizens in east Levy County reported to the Levy Coun-

ty Sheriff’s Office they had seen three monkeys. Lt. Hunt, commander of the new Agri-

have been sighted in the area of the County Road 318 and State Hwy. 335 intersection. Lt.

Hunt spent several hours with the man, in an unsuccessful attempt to locate the monkeys.

Lt. Hunt did locate, however, evidence that the monkeys had been in a wooded area, by hair

that had been shed and a fence post they’d scratched. Nearby residents told Lt. Hunt that the
