Public Information Officer John Dowd, officers responded to a physical altercation at an ad-
dress in the Palm Point subdivision of Inglis. Arnold had arrived at the victims home around
noon, entered the residence without permission, physically battered the victim, who is seven
months pregnant, and attempted to force his way into a bedroom where another person was
locked inside. The victim attempted to call 911, and Arnold reportedly ripped the phone
cord from the wall. The victim then fled the home to attempt a second 911 call at a neigh-
bor’s home, where she was again prevented from doing so. Arnold was placed into custody
and remanded to the Levy County Jail on no bond.
Christopher Joseph Flannery, 25, Beverly Hills, was arrested by the Citrus County
Sheriff s Office, March 16, at a 1501 Corkwood Blvd., Homosassa, residence. According
to the arrest report, Flannery was arrested on 3 counts of sexual battery or injure the sexual
organs of a child under the age of twelve and one count of lewd lascivious molestation of a
person under the age of 12. The arrest report stated that there were three victims, a 4 year-old
girl, a 4 year-old boy and a 5 year-old boy, that a complainant had seen Flannery with one of
the victims, but could not determine the extent of the incident.

Unfortunately at the time there was a matching fund requirement so Yankeetown opted out
with a promise from the county that they would widen CR40 through Yankeetown to the end

of road to include bicycling lanes. That never happened. Inglis continued to pursue the grant.
