Chili Cook-Off Winners Announced
With a wonderful turn out, the Ladies of the Yankeetown Inglis Woman's Club
would like to thank all those who came out to enjoy the array of delicious Chili's at the Annual
Cook-off. Winning 1st Prize, Ralph Dixon led the way with his Fire House Chili #17. In 2nd
place, Helen Seigel shared her own version of Fire House Chili #12 to the delight of many. In
3rd place, Bill Henley's Slap Willy Chili #13 was a hit. The ladies also want to thank the other
Chili Cooks along with all the volunteers who helped make this a successful event.
Levy County Republicans To Hold Lincoln-Reagon Memorial Dinner
Our Lincoln Reagan Memorial Dinner will be on Friday, March 27 at Bubbaque’s Restau-
rant in Chiefland. Our speaker will be the former Speaker of the Florida House of Represen-
tatives, Marco Rubio. He is best known for his book 100 Innovative Ideas for Florida’s
Future. Rubio traveled around the state to gather ideas from citizens for this book. During
his tenure as Speaker Marco Rubio championed a conservative, small-government approach
