Inglis Girl Scouts need Community’s Help on Cemetery Project
The Junior Girl Scout Troop 201, of Inglis, has been woking on a project this year
to beautify the Cedars of Lebanon Cemetery, north of Inglis on U.S. Hwy. 19. “All that is
left is the doing,” said troop leader Sheena Price. The “doing” will take place on Sat., , April
2, from 8:00 a.m. until the work is done. The troop will beautify the cemetery by mulching,
planting around the pavillion, building a retaining wall, establishing a flagpole area and
placing a handmade bench. Each of the 11 troop members has invited one worker, and the
troop also has a few other volunteers, “But more hands make less work,” said Price, who is
asking the community to volunteer help - by donating money for additional supplies, vol-
unteering their gardening help, or bringing food or drink to help provide sustenance for the
troop and all the workers - covered dishes and desserts, sandwiches and drinks. “Any and
all (help) would be appreciated,” said Price.
If you can help the troop in any way, please contact troop leader Sheena Price at by
email at sheenaprice@bellsouth.net or by phone at 352-447-0124.
