A 20 year old man from Inglis was placed under arrest on a felony charge of
animal cruelty, after witnesses complained to the Inglis Police Depart-
ment about the incident, and an officer investigated the allegations made
against him.
According to the arrest report, the officer spoke with two wit-
nesses who live at the residence of the man placed under arrest, Michael
S. Castens, who lives at 235 Daisy St., Inglis. The witnesses told the of-
ficer, when he arrived at their residence around 11:15 p.m. on Monday,
Feb. 21, just after the alleged incident occurred, that Castens had been

in the bathroom for a long period of time, and they heard sounds coming
from the bathroom that sounnded like a person having sex. The witnesses
said they believed that Castens may have been pleasuring himself in the bathroom and
chose to leave him alone.
A short time later, the bathroom door opened and the dog walked out of the bath-
room, then the bathroom door closed. The witnesses noticed that the dog was panting, hav-
