as the suspect in the attempted grand theft of a 2004 Ford diesel truck. The arrest report
stated that a witness saw a man - whom the witness later identified in a photo lineup as
Wesley Thompson Foley, Jr., 28, 12391 W. Checkerberry Dr., Crystal River - in the victim s
2004 Ford diesel pickup truck, attempting to steal it from Hometown Auto Mart located in
Dunnellon at 3020 W. Dunnellon Rd. on Dec. 5, 2013. The witness said that the witness at-
tempted to speak with Foley, but Foley fled the area on foot with other suspects. During the
theft/burglary attempt, the ignition was damaged, the report stated. Foley became a suspect
during the investigation, and was identified in the photo lineup on Dec. 20.
The investigator attempted to contact Foley on numerous occasions, without suc-
cess, so a BOLO (Be On the Look-Out) was issued for his arrest. Foley was arrested during
a traffic stop at 5:30 p.m., Jan. 25.
The lead detective responded to the scene to speak with Foley and several other
possible suspects involved in the thefts of Ford diesel trucks from Marion, Citrus, Hernando
and Pasco counties, the report stated.
Foley was placed under arrest, charged with criminal mischief ($200 or more, but
less than $1,000), theft of an auto/bus/truck, and burglary of an unoccupied conveyance. His
total bond was set at $10,500.
According to the report, Foley is currently out on bond for possession of a firearm
