Modern Woodmen of America members in Inglis recently helped raise money for

Toys for Christmas by partnering with the Town of Inglis' Inglis Recreational Committee.

This annual event, held on October 30, 2015, raised $4,986.00. This includes $2,493.00

matched by Modern Woodmen s home office through the organization s Matching Fund

Program. The money was used for toys for Christmas for local families.

The Matching Fund Program offers Modern Woodmen members nationwide the

chance to show their support for a community cause, organization or individual in need by

holding fundraisers. Modern Woodmen matches' money raised up to $2,500. These fund-

raising projects contribute $10.8 million to community needs nationwide each year. "The

community truly came together to support a local need," says [Laurie Winn], local Modern

Woodmen chapter activities coordinator. "That support is what it's all about." Coordinated

by local Modern Woodmen members, chapters provide opportunities to take part in social

activities and community service projects to meet local needs. For more information or to
