Two Dieyear old Warren Cole of Homosassa died after being struck by two cars
in Separate Crashes

on U.S. 19 and Moose Lane. The FHP report states that Cole was attempting to cross the
northbound lanes of U.S. 19 just before 9 p.m. on January 26th. The FHP reported that he
was first struck by a vechile driven by Michael Charlton, 20 of Homosassa. The FHP report
stated the victim was then hit by a vechile driven by John Bright, 33 of Crystal River. Cole
was prounounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Charlton vehicle received minor
injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
One January 29th, 50 year old Katherine M. Wheeler of Inverness died in a two ve-
hicle crash on Lecanto Hwy at about 9:30 a.m. The FHP report stated 39 year old Jacquline
D. Vichot of Citrus Springs was headed south on C.R. 491 near 5955 Lecanto Hwy. when
her 1998 Ford four door went off into the west shoulder. According to the investigating of-
ficer the driver then attempted to correct and bring the vehicle back to the roadway and lost
