28th Annual Floral City Strawberry Festival
Chamber of Commerce to produce the family friendly event in March. The Citrus
County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the dates for the 28th Annual Floral
City Strawberry Festival on March 7 & 8, 2015. The festival will be held at Floral Park
in Floral City, FL. New additions to the festival will add excitement to this year's event.
The 3rd Annual Berries, Brew & BBQ will kick-off the festival weekend on Friday March
6, 2015 in downtown Floral City in front of the Floral City Library and Heritage Museum.
This event is hosted by the Floral City Merchants Association, is free to the public, fea-
tures BBQ from the Agriculture Alliance of Citrus County and will be held from 6:00pm
10:00pm. A bevvy of events and activities are slated for the festival weekend including
live entertainment, Little Miss & Miss Strawberry Princess pageants, strawberry pie eating
contests and brand new this year an appearance by the TV character Strawberry Shortcake.
The Amazzing Steel Drum ensemble, the Dan Story Band, the Susanne Smith Band and
local favorite country rocker Chad Montana will highlight the live entertainment at the fes-
tival. DJ John Dirorio will be providing great music between the acts.
The Princess pageants will take place on Saturday morning. Strawberry Shortcake,
the character, will be on hand for meet & greets and photo opportunities on Saturday morn-
ing from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

Commissioner to Hold a Town Hall Meeting in March

Wildlife Park Hosts Bird Walk this Weekend
Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, in cooperation with Citrus County Audu-
bon Society, will host a bird walk on Pepper Creek Trail on Saturday, February 28, 2015.
Bird walks are planned for October, November, and monthly from January through April.
