Levy Police Beat
Jan. 31 - Ernest Edward Schott, Inglis was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff’s
Office, charged with two counts of violation of probation.
Feb. 2 - Danny Cummings, 54, Inglis, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff’s
Office for violation of probation (DUI).
Feb. 2 - A Notice to Appear (concealed weapon) was issued to Brandon Lee Hunt-
er, of Inglis, during a traffic stop by the Inglis Police Department for a bicycle violation. A
13-inch knife with an 8-inch blade was concealed under his shirt according to the report. He
has a mandatory court appearance scheduled for Feb. 21.
Feb. 8 - Timothy Ray Fields, Jr., 27, Bronson, was arrested by the Levy County
Sheriff’s Office on a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child. His bond was set
at $400,000.
Feb.11 - According to the LCSO’s Media Jail Report, Robert Daved Rohrer, 36,
Inglis, was booked into the Levy County Jail on an out-of-county warrant.
Feb. 12 - According to the LCSO’s Media Jail Report, Shawn D. Huffman, 40,
Inglis, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff’s Office, Feb. 12, charged with battery,
touch or strike.

Man who died in Homosassa fire identified

The man who perished in an early-morning fire in Homosassa on Jan. 9 was identi-

fied as Joseph Urbain Labelle, 56, who had been living in a vacant singlewide mobile home
in a heavily wooded area behind 4029 S. Suncoast Boulevard. The Medical Examiner's

cal records secured from a previous incident where Labelle, a pedestrian, had been hit by

a vehicle. Labelle s final autopsy report is still pending toxicology results. The State Fire
Marshal's office is investigating the origin and cause of the fatal fire.
