Groundbreaking, senior residences, Feb. 19
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Forest Ridge Senior Residences has been
scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 19, at 9:30 am on the site, located at 2757 N. Forest Ridge
Blvd. in Beverly Hills. The facility will offer 119 affordable, amenity-rich apartments to se-
niors, age 55 or older, to include a clubhouse and outdoor recreational spaces. Construction
began in January, and the first residences are expected to be ready by October 2015
Unwanted drug drop off, Feb. 21
If you have unwanted, unused or expired medication you would like to rid yourself
of, the Citrus County Sheriff s Office is offering a one-day drug drop off on Saturday, Feb.
21, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm - no questions asked. The drop off locations are the Walgreen

CERT Training starts Feb. 25
If you would find it rewarding to assist people in the community during emergen-
cies, sign up for the upcoming CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training that
will start on Feb. 25. The CERT program is sponsored by the Citrus County Sheriff s Office,
Emergency Management Section and is an official FEMA (Federal Emergency Management
Agency) program.
Any citizen can sign up to attend the courses, which are held 1 night per week for 9
weeks. During the course, citizens will be trained in disaster preparedness, fire suppression,
medical operations, light search & rescue, disaster psychology and team organization.
The sheriff s office is committed to making this program widespread throughout
Citrus County. If you would like to join the CERT program as an individual or as a group,
