During the night of Feb. 13, the Citrus County Sheriff's Office received a call about a 78-year-
old man with Alzheimer's disease who had gone missing from his home. The woman who
reported the man as missing missing had a scent preservation kit, which can be used by dogs
to track people, and was successfully used to locate this man! A sheriff's office volunteer,
Linda Boles, and her bloodhound, K9 Winchester, responded to the area to search for the man.
Although an hour had passed since the man had gone missing, Linda and Winnie located the
man within 5 minutes. The CCSO's Media Division addounced their tremendous gratitude to
Ms. Boles and "precious Winnie." Photo Courtesy CCSO.
