Victor Antonio Cordero, 69, 1219 S. Palm Ave., Homosassa, was arrested by the

 

area in which he was the driver. The report stated that the arresting officer noted signs of

alcohol consumption, and Cordero admitted to drinking two cans of beer before driving.

   

Cordero submitted to alcohol testing, the report stated and performed poorly. Since Cordero

pulled over within Citrus County, he was transported to the Citrus County Detention Facil-

ity for booking on a DUI charge and administered alcohol breath testing. The results were

0.098 and 0.094 (the legal limit is 0.08). His bond was set at $500.

    

Berland B. LaPlace, 37, 8254 W. Homosassa Trail, Homosassa, wasay Ad the

Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Feb. 10, charged with auto theft. His bond wasrset at $5,000.

    

The report stated that LaPlace admitted to taking a vehicle without permission, crashing the

vehicle and leaving it at the scene because he had consumed alcohol. His bond was set at

 



    

Nicole Lepper, 28, a white female last known to reside in Homosassa, e placed

     



on the Levy County Sheriff’s Office’s Most Wanted List on Feb. 11. She is wanted for viola-

tion of probation (the original charge was foregry). Her bond was listed at none.

             

Melvin Lamar Mathers, 43, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office in

Crystal River, Feb. 7, charged with the sexual battery of a 55 year-old Inverness woman with

      

whom Mathers had resided until a month or more previous. The report stated that the alleged

incident occurred on Jan. 24, that the woman said the incident had started consensually and

      

had taken place for several minutes until she began to experience pain from a recent medi-

     

cal procedure, and told Mathers to quit. Mathers originally claimed that another girlfriend

had accompanied him to the woman’s residence and denied the victim’s charge, but when

       

he was taken to jail he recanted the girlfriend going with him to the victim’s residence and

also changed other details of his account. Mathers’ bond was set at none. The arrest report

       

stated that a criminal background check during Mathers’ arrest revealed “multiple charges

     
