Chapters to Tallahassee
Advocates and volunteers inter-
ested in helping make positive change in
the battle against Alzheimer's disease are
making a road trip to the State Capitol!
Central and North Florida Chap-
ters will join the other Alzheimer's As-
sociation Florida Chapters to meet with
legislators on a state level in Tallahassee.
WHEN: On Wednesday, Febru-
ary 19th - starting at 10:00 am and ending
approximately at 3:30 pm, The chartered
bus leaves Jacksonville at 7:15 am, but
you are welcome to drive from any loca-
tion if it's more convenient.
WHAT: We will meet in groups
with our state legislators at the Capital
and talk about the latest updates with
Alzheimer's, State-of-Florida statistics,
facts and figures, and what the Alzheim-
er's Association is doing in our state to
educate, support and fund research.
AGENDA: From 10:00 am to
11:00 am, we will have an orientation,
provide talking points and a summary of
our message - then, we will break into
groups. Box lunches will be provided in
between meetings. We will finish up at
