Frisbee Event Part of Animal Fund Raiser
Pet Patrol
Ever since the frisbee went into pro-
duction in 1957, the plastic platter has been a
popular play toy for dogs. Animals have
shown natural athleticism by leaping great
heights to catch a flying disc thrown by their
owners.
Lawrence Frederick, a dog lover and
former Frisbee World Champion from Jack-
sonville, Florida, decided to combine his
frisbee talents with the talents of seven “res-
cue” dogs to form a professional Frisbee dog
touring show called the “Disc-Connected
K9's Frisbee Dog Team.” Rescue dogs are
animals who are either abandoned, homeless,
sheltered, or came from a humane society.
The “Disc-Connected K9's Frisbee
Dog Team” is back by popular demand at the
2nd Annual Bark-N-Purr Charity Event & BBQ
Cook-Off, Saturday, February 28, 2008. The
event will be held at the Bronson Youth Ath-
letic Field starting at 12:00 Noon.
