County Administrator Brad Thorpe announced Friday Jenette

new Planning & Development Director for Citrus County. Collins has been serving as the

Land Development Director since 2010.

Collins joined Citrus County in 1984 as a Zoning Technican, then moving into

a Planner position in 1995. After serving as Senior Planner from 1999 to 2001, she was

named the Principal Planner. In 2006, she was promoted to Assistant Director of the Com-

munity Development Division. Collins received her certification from the American Insti-

tute of Certified Planners in 1999. She is a member of the American Planning Association,

the American Institute of Professional Planners, and is a 2010 Leadership Citrus alumna.
