Shine Program for Elders
SHINE, a volunteer program with the FL Dept of Elder Affairs, is here to assist
you in making the best informed decision for your 2014 Medicare Part D Drug Plan or
Medicare Advantage Plan. Bring with you your Medicare Card, your 2013 Plan card (if
any), and all your Prescription drug bottles or a 90 day listing of your prescriptions from

Inglis Free Food Giveaway
The HOPE Foundation will be having a food give away on December 5th at the Inglis
Community Center from 2-3pm. Please bring a bill or license with your name and address
on it. Supplies are limited so it is first come first serve. Hope to see you there.
FWC Presentation at WGP
Join us on Wednesday, December 11, at 6:30 pm at the WGP, 1001 Old Rock
Road, Yankeetown. Vic Doig, Fire Management Officer, with US Fish & Wildlife Service,
will present "Fire Management at the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge: Burning
for Critter!" Mr. Doig's presentation will focus on the beneficial effects of wildland fire on
native habitats and wildlife. This presentation is free. The program will take place in the El-
lie Schiller Education Center. You can finally satisfy your curiousity of what has been going

Club, presenting awards at Yankeetown School to deserving students for the first nine weeks
The Inglis Recreation Committee is proud to host the 2013 Inglis Christmas
grading period.
Parade (`A Repurposed Christmas') onSaturday, December 21st. Float entries must be
50% recycled materials in order to be judged (sign up at town hall no later that December
13th). The parade will start at 5:30pm, so this will be a night parade! Sign up to win
money in the "Pipe, Percussion & Drum Contest" or submit your selection for the Out-
standing Citizen' to ride in the parade no later than December 6th. We need volunteers
to help with the Festival and Maze immediately after the parade at the Inglis Community
Center (6-8pm) where there will be beverages and sweets, gifts, the Christmas Maze and
Santa! For more information or to donate time, money or new/unused toys, please contact

Outstanding Citizen Nominations
Nominations for "Outstanding Citizen" will be taken until December 6th at the
Inglis Town Hall (forms available). The winner will be selected from the nominees by
the Inglis Recreation Committee and will ride in the 2013 Inglis Christmas Parade and be
honored at the Christmas Festival on December 21st. Nominees should be someone who
has impacted the Inglis community in a positive way, has been or is currently involved in
community events, and is not a member of the Inglis Recreation Committee.
