to the New Year
With New Years on the hori-
zen, thoughts of resolutions churn
through my mind. I appreciate Tom and
Debbie Russell, editors of the News-
caster, for entrusting me with what part
I play in the paper. I thank them for al-
lowing me to go out on a limb (and I
have not fallen off yet.) I am thankful
they put up with my dysfunction and
last minute stories. I try to bring out
things most people would not touch for
fear of possible consequences.
Some subjects are touchy and
I have stayed away from a few because
of a promise to a person now deceased.
It is coming. My belief that “Evil pre-
vails where good men fail to do what
they should” spurs me on to do what
I can to keep government at all levels
honest. I have heard a lot of jokes such

to “Sallycaster”. I can tell you I would
