to the fire being set. The building was a total loss. The owner is Dan Cummings, who tran-
sitioned the building, formerly a bait and tackle shop, into the bar, six years ago.
Investigative Sergeant Mike Narayan, Investigators Mike Wilkinson and Zeb Rich-
burg and other responding deputies quickly located several witnesses. Based on informa-
tion provided by the witnesses, investigators interviewed 21 year-old Jordan Michael Coo-
per, of Yankeetown, who gave information implicating himself and 32 year-old Travis Evan
Crabb in setting the fire.
According to Undersheriff Brett Beauchamp, "The information uncovered by our
investigators indicates that Mr. Crabb was using a Yankeetown address, but was actually
living at various other locations. Those included hotels/motels in Gainesville" (Alachua
County). LCSO investigators were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Crabb, which was
executed in Alachua County during the morning hours of Nov. 25, with the assistance of the
U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force. Crabb was charged with arson, burglary of a
structure, grand theft, and two counts of arson resulting in injury to another. Crabb's bond
was been set at $170,000.
Shortly after Crabb's arrest, Cooper was arrested in Levy County on similar charg-
es. Cooper is being held at the Levy County Detention Center. No bond had been set for
Cooper at the time of the press release from the Levy County Sheriff Dept.
Based on conversations with three separate people on the scene The Newscaster
reported last week that Inglis/Fire rescue did not respond before 8am. Inglis fire chief John
MacDonald in an email said, "I would like to have the two hour response time from Inglis
