Fire Assessment – The Levy County Fire Assessment numbers are in. The current infor-
mation for EMS is a residential rate of $119 per year. The fire residential rate is $90 per
year. The commercial rate varies and is figured on a square footage basis. The report which
includes the figures for institutional and commercial rates is in the hall.
Levy County Gets A Spotlight –The Levy County Visitors Bureau has gotten Levy County
included in Southern Living’s online publication “Insider’s Guide to Florida”. It is part of
a campaign to promote off the beaten path vacation experiences. The article, titled “Levy
County, Old Florida’s Authentic and Fun Festivals”, lists events happening all over the
county. The first 2013 entry is the Inglis Music Festival, featuring bluegrass, on January
