Dunnellon resident Janine Ann Blythe, 50, was arrested by the Florida Highway
Patrol on Dec. 18, related to a fatal hit and run traffic crash. Blythe is accused of hitting a pe-
destrian, 70 year-old James Thomas Lowman of Morriston, with her 2013 Chevrolet pickup
truck. The fatal crash took place at on County Rd. 337, south of SE 40th St. Blythe was
arrested at her place of employment at 4:16 pm. She was transported to the Levy County
Jail and charged with two felony counts, leaving the scene of a crash involving death and
tampering with evidence, and a citation for careless driving.
Dustin Edward Liby, 36, 6734 W. Cardinal St., Homosassa, was arrested by the
Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Dec. 13, charged with possession of a controlled substance
and burglary of an unoccupied structure. His total bond was set at $7,000. The report stated
that Liby is accused of taking tools from two Cardinal St. sheds. The burglary was witnessed
and recorded on a cellular telephone by a friend of the complainant. The complainant told
detectives that he knows Liby, but no longer associates with him because he steals items
when they get together. When he was contacted at his residence by the detective, Liby was
in possession of two generic xanax tablets and two 8 mg buprenorphine pills. He confessed

Joseph Allen Adams, 30, 638 S. Fairlane Ter., Lecanto, was arrested by the Citrus
County Sheriff's Office, Dec. 19, charged with a felony - sell, manufacture or possess with
intent to sell, manufacture or deliver a controlled substance. His bond was set at $10,000.
The report stated, that upon a traffic stop, a deputy had located tubing, a bowl and coffee
filters which contained approximately one gram of methamphetamine, and he had placed
Adams under arrest, charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of para-
phernalia and violation of probation.
The State Attorney's Office agreed there was sufficient evidence to arrest Adams
on the manufacturing charge. The apparent manufacturing process used was the "shake and
bake" method. The filters and bowl tested positive for methamphetamine, but the tubing did
not.

CCSO Fire/Rescue receives two new fire trucks

The Inverness and Homosassa fire stations each welcomed a new fire truck, Dec. 19, with truck

2 going to Homosassa and truck 3 going to Inverness. The ceremony was hosted and explained
to start in 11-05-2014 issue
by Fire Chief Jim Goodworth, and the trucks were blessed by Chaplain Ernest Thomas. The
crews then washed the trucks and pushed them back into the station, a tradition deeply rooted
in the fire service. The sheriff's office was very excited to welcome the new trucks.
