Adopt a cat or dog from the Citrus County Animal Shelter on December 22 or 23
(Tuesday or Wednesday) and the Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection (CCFAP)
will arrange for a special "Santa" delivery to your residence on Christmas Day. For more

Rosie the Manatee Passes Away
Rosie, one of the manatees at Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park
passed away peacefully through the night of natural causes due to her advanced age. She
was estimated to be approximately 50 years old. Rosie had a long and wonderful life
with many admirers and was a favorite of the Save the Manatee Club's Adopt-A- Manatee
program. Rosie came to Homosassa Springs on December 23, 1983 from Marsh Island
Marineland.
