Remus Kevin Scalf, 42, Inglis, was arrested by Dep. Rogers of the Levy County
Sheriff's Office, Dec. 8, charged with failure to appear and possession of marijuana less
than 20 grams. His total bond was set at $3,000.
Travis Lee Hvitfeldt, 20, 12430 S. Daffodil Pt., Floral City, was arrested by the
Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Dec. 9, charged with one count, each, of burglary to an
unoccupied structure, grand theft ($300 or more, but less than $5,000) and dealing in stolen
property. His total bond was set at $12,000. Hvitfeldt is accused of taking numerous items
from a S. Pine Oak Ter., Floral City shed, including a Sears Craftsman chainsaw, a home-
made trailer, a six-gallon plastic gas container containing four gallons of gas and a Snapper
riding lawn mower. Hvitfeldt confessed to taking the items and entering the victim's shed
through an unsecured door. He said he scrapped the mower at Taurus Metal Recycling in
exchange for $30 in cash. Several of the other items were recovered.
Matthew Joseph Paquin, 27, 115 NW Crystal St., Crystal River, was arrested by the
Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Dec. 9, charged with possession of a controlled substance
($2000 bond) and possession of drug paraphernalia ($1,000 bond). The report stated that
Paquin was in possession of a glass pipe and one methadone 10 mg pill after a traffic stop on
W. Gulf to Lake Hwy, in Lecanto for speeding (62 mph in a 50 mph zone). The items were
found after a drug sniffing canine made a positive alert on the vehicle.
Jamaal Dupriest Fowler, 25, 1571 W. Pinion Ln., Dunnellon, was arrested by the

Priscilla Hope Lewis, 39, 4201 W. Roadrunner Ct., Homosassa, was arrested by
the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Dec. 12, charged with traffic or endeavor to traffic in
stolen property and grand theft ($300 or more, but less than $5,000). She's accused of taking
chainsaws, miscellaneous tools and a boat motor, with a combined value of $4,500, from
a W. Glenbrooke, Homosassa residence. Two of the items stolen were located at American
Trading Post Pawn in Crystal River on Dec. 2, which had been pawned by another indi-
vidual who pointed a finger at Lewis as having received the items for someone else. Lewis
said she did not take the items, but was unable to tell the investigator who did.
Mark H. Brewer, 25, 742 W. Miss Maggie Dr., Homosassa, was arrested by the
Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Dec. 5, charged with possession of a controlled substance
and possession of drug paraphernalia. His total bond was set at $3,000.The arrest report
stated the arrest began with a traffic stop for a red light violation in Beverly Hills at 1:04
