Inverness man dies in crash
Thirty-eight year-old Stevie S. Gadsen of Inverness died following a single-vehicle
crash, Dec. 13, in the Chinsegut/Brooksville area of Hernando County, Florida. According
to the Florida Highway Patrol, Mr. Gadsen was driving a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica, traveling
south on County Rd. 481 (Snow Memorial Hwy.), approaching a stop sign at U.S. Hwy. 41
about 4:11 am. For unknown reasons, the report stated, the vehicle ran the stop sign and
traveled across U. S. Hwy. 41, onto the eastern grass shoulder, and struck a tree with the
front bumper. After the collision, the vehicle came to a stop, facing northeast, in the area of
the collision. The report stated that Mr. Gadsen, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died as the
result of injuries sustained in the crash.
