Timothy E. Lynch, 73, of Yankeetown
Timothy E. Lynch, 73, of Yankeetown, FL, died on June 25th, 2012 in Erie, PA.
Timothy was born in Meadville, PA on January 4, 1939, the third of ten children of the late
LeRoy T. and Julia (Swaney) Lynch.
Tim graduated from Meadville High School in 1956. He served in
the US Army from 1961 until 1963. In 1964 Tim began his career with Delta
Airlines. He worked for Delta in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Detroit and Pittsburgh
as well as in India after Delta purchased PanAm airlines. Tim traveled much
visiting many European capitals, Hawaii, Australia and the Caribbean. Tim
traveled with his widowed father on several trips to Ireland and on many of his
trips to Europe and Hawaii. Upon his retirement in 1992 Tim lived in Hopewell Township,
PA until 2004 when he moved to Yankeetown, Florida. He was involved in many aspects
of community life in the Yankeetown area and he was loved and admired by the residents of
that community.
He is survived by nine siblings who loved him dearly; Patrick T. of N. Ft. Myers,
FL, J. Terrence (Judy) of Erie, PA, Jean (John) Mottillo of Meadville, PA, Michael J. (Mary
Ann) of Meadville, PA, Daniel K. (Mary Lee) of Fairview, PA, Christopher R. (Anne) of
Erie, PA, Sean F. (Vicki) of Erie, PA, Eileen (Avery) Ownby of Knoxville, TN, Luanne (Jen-
nifer) of San Gabriel, CA, and a dear friend Sharon Inman. He is further survived by 24
nieces, nephews and 41 grand nieces and nephews.
