Final Week for We Care Telethon Online Auction
A current fundraiser, an ongoing online auction that started on Nov. 2 and will run
through Sat., Dec. 1, will raise money - 100% of which will be used by the food pantry - to
help continue its worthwhile programs. The online auction will end on Sat., Dec. 1, at a
LiveTelethon on local TV Channel WYKE in Crystal River, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.,
when you will be able to call-in your bids to the TV station at (352) 527-2341.
Over 150 items are being placed for bid on the website - www.natlauctions.com
- in categories that include home improvement, water recreation, golf, jewelry, sports, art,
stay-overs, outdoor equipment, gift items for the home, electronics, hair care, fishing equip-
ment, pet products, food and restaurants, and camping. The auction provides a great oppor-
tunity to do holiday shopping while also fighting hunger and feeding hope - a win-win!
Crystal River Parade
Applications for the 2012 Christmas Parade in Crystal River and Inverness are
now available at the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce office. This year’s theme is :
“A Postcard Christmas.” Crystal River hosts its Christmas parade at 6 p.m. on Saturday
December 1 and Inverness hosts its Christmas parade at noon on Saturday December 8. Call
