Two Parades Setonfor This Weekend Citrus
Pet Patrol
Everyone loves a parade and
Saturday December 1 there are TWO in
County. Start in Beverly Hills at the Christmas in the Hills Parade, Holiday Arts & Crafts/
Car Show. The festivities include the 10 a.m. parade that moves down Beverly Hills Ave
from the Lecanto Hwy. area to the Civic Center, a car show, a kids area and an outdoor selec-
tion of arts & crafts. For more information call 352-746-4882. Event runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Also on Saturday December 1 enjoy the lights and sounds of Christmas at the
annual Crystal River Christmas parade, presented by the Citrus County Chamber of Com-
merce and the City of Crystal River. This evening parade begins at 6 p.m. and travels south
in the south bound lanes of Hwy. 19 from Citrus Ave. to Port Paradise Rd. The theme this
year is “A Post Card Christmas.” Grand Marshall this year is Dale McClellan, M & B Dairy,
and the 2012 overall winner of the Swisher Sweets/Sunbelt Expo Southeastern Farmer of
the Year award. The Crystal River Christmas Parade is honored to have Dale McClellan,
M & B Dairy, as its Grand Marshal. Dale, most recently named the 2012 Sunbelt Expo
Southeastern Farmer of the Year, is also a county staple, much like his milk and dairy prod-
ucts. Even those who haven’t heard his name have probably come in contact with some of
his company s products. Now a fixture of Citrus County, McClellan has become a spokes-
