Seminole-Gator Rib Dinner
The Legacy League of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church located on US Hwy
41 in Dunnellon will be hosting a Gator-Seminole Rib Dinner on Saturday, November 26.
Dine in and watch the Florida-Florida State game on a big screen in Father Stegeman hall.
Serving starts at 11:30. Game starts at 1:00 p.m. Dinner includes ribs and sauce, cole slaw,
baked bean and rolls. Desserts, funnel cakes and drinks are extra. Tickets are a $15.00
donation and can be obtained by any Legacy League member or in the church office. Take
outs will be available. Be sure to show your team spirit by wearing team colors, hats and
shirts.
Craft Fair In Dunnellon
The Altar & RosarySociety of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will be holding
a Craft Fair on Saturday, December 10th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Father Stegeman Hall.
The Church is located on the corner of Hwy. 41 and Hwy 40 north of Dunnellon.
Over 30 crafters will be there along with several new skilled artisans who will be
selling a wide variety of hand made goods. Light refreshments will be available for a nomi-
nal fee. For more information, call Pat at 489-1984.
The Historic Village of Dunnellon Victorian Holiday
Thousands of twinkling holiday lights will once again adorn the shops of Dun-
nellon’s Historic Village during their annual Victorian Holiday Festival which takes place
on Saturday, November 26 from 5 to 9 p.m. Come stroll down W. Pennsylvania Avenue

State park opens spring for wild manatee population

Springs Wildlife State Park opened the gate this week to allow wild manatees to enter the
spring bowl for the second year. Last year was the first opening of the gate beneath the
bridge across the spring run in 30 years. The gates will remain open during manatee season

manatees have been placed behind the separation fence in the spring bowl, allowing the
