A current fundraiser, an ongoing online auction that started on Nov. 2 and will run
through Sat., Dec. 1, will raise money - 100% of which will be used by the food pantry - to
help continue its worthwhile programs. The online auction will end on Sat., Dec. 1, at a
LiveTelethon on local TV Channel WYKE in Crystal River, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.,
when you will be able to call-in your bids to the TV station at (352) 527-2341.
Over 150 items are being placed for bid on the website - www.natlauctions.com
- in categories that include home improvement, water recreation, golf, jewelry, sports, art,
stay-overs, outdoor equipment, gift items for the home, electronics, hair care, fishing equip-
ment, pet products, food and restaurants, and camping. The auction provides a great oppor-
tunity to do holiday shopping while also fighting hunger and feeding hope - a win-win!
We Care is all-volunteer, with no paid employees, therefore every penny that is
donated, or comes from grants and initiatives such as the auction, goes into those programs.
For more information about the food pantry and/or the auction, or if you have any questions
or would like to make an appointment to see a specific auction item, please call Angela
