Re: "Inglis Police Department in our pockets (with no results)"
The Inglis Police Department (IPD) has made our town a speed trap. If you talk to Chief
Bible, all he says is he cannot control the tickets that his officers write. You are either the boss,
or hiding behind political issues; if you cannot tell your employees what to do, then you
should not be in a position of authority.
Our town is being overrun with meth labs, drug abuse, burglaries and child molestation.
We need a police department that will protect our children from the serious crime that is going
on in our town. We need to vote people into the town council to abolish the IPD, or make it
what it used to be - one chief and one officer, because then they would not have to spend all
their time taking money out of the hands of locals to make payroll and could actually serve the
citizens of Inglis, by protecting our children instead of depriving them of Christmas. I wrote
this because I received four tickers on Nov. 14, 2007, just in time for Christmas.
We need to vote in March and get rid of all officers except Chief Bible, because he has a
two-year contract that he screwed Inglis into getting, with my help, I am ashamed to say,
because right after that, he has unleashed his band of extortionists on the public.
"We can't solve any real crime, but we can lie to the public legally" (direct quote from Tim
Bible). We can change laws and ordinances to suit our own agendas, such as trying to get
three-hour parking of the DOT right-of-way, just to suit Commissioner Roy Smith. Devon
Addison, a great man from the past - if we had one like him, our town would be much safer.
Can you believe four tickets at one time? I must be a hardened criminal, or maybe I have a
voice they don't want you to hear. Feel free to contact me at (352) 447-0777.
If you go back some issues (of The Newscaster), Tim Bible states that the IPD does not
write tickets for under 15 miles per hour over the speed limit. Officer Jeff Pasternak stated that
I was going 54 mph in a 40 mph zone. My speedometer said 50 mph. I guess lying to the public
is in his blood, also. So, that is what started the ticket rampage. He also wrote one for criminal
work permit violation. I was giving a man a ride to the store to get some gas, for he had broken
down. I told Pasternak this fact. He told me that was not work-related. Did I mention that I own
Race Cab of Inglis?
I advise you to call a state trooper or county sheriff's office the next time you see blue
lights in Inglis and request a real officer to oversee the Keystone Cops in the IPD.
