Barge Canal Service Road



A preconstruction meeting for a Barge Canal Service Road, a cooperatively funded

project between the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners and the Florida Depart-



ment of Transportation (FDOT) was completed onsite in late October. General contractors



Daily and Zilch (Florida), Inc., will undertake the first phase on the project, to modify the



existing drainage system in the amount of $69,870.

 

The second phase, paving the roadway and placing sod the shoulders of the road-

ways, is to be constructed by the Citrus County Public Works Department, Road Mainte-

nance Division Staff and winning bid company. The Phase 2 work was placed under bid, and



the low bidder

 is D.A.B. Constructors, Inc. This bid is under review by FDOT.
