Alternative energy
is the particular expertise
of Scott Davies. Wind, hy-
droelectric and geothermal
are also forms of reusable
energy that doesn’t tax our
natural resources or environ-
ment.
My wife Kathie and I happened
to meet Davies under accidental circum-
stances. We were out and about town Fri-
day and decided to approach the owner
of the Red Barn, (a business located in
Newberry), about his portable shelters.
The owner was not there, but his sibling
is Scott Davies who was minding the shop
for his brother and after talking to him we
agreed that even though his message may
appear self-serving to some it is worth-
while and significant.
You don’t have to be a “tree hug-
ger” to appreciate his passion for protect-
ing our resources and developing new
energy sources. People from all walks of
life from boat builders to bell hops can
be an advocate for a cleaner more endur-
