What's With the
Hair?
With Doug Johnston
I donʼt watch a lot
of television beyond sports
and Gunsmoke, but flipping
through the programs to see
whats on allows me to catch
a glimpse of new programs.
Judging from what little I
see, most detectives are ei-
ther beautiful women or men who badly
need shaves who are surrounded by beau-
tiful women.
Just seeing some of the female
police officers depicted on these cop
shows makes me want to run out and hold
up a convenience store just to get caught.

growth on their male counterparts faces?

cers of the law with scraggly beards and
unkept hair. Is that supposed to be cool or
sexy?
I asked my wife and she actually
agrees with me that unshaven is sooo not
cool! And my wife should know, sheʼs the
