Sunny Cooter's BBQ Cook-Off in Inverness, Oct. 27
Sunny Cooter is bringing back the battle of the barbecue! The official mascot of the
City of Inverness' Great American Cooter Festival is getting ready for the "Sunny Cooter's
BBQ Cook Off" on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Wallace Brooks Park. Contes-
tants will be judged for their grilling expertise in four categories: (1) chicken, (2) pulled pork,
(3) sliced pork and (4) pork ribs. Judges will grade taste, appearance, tenderness and texture.
The overall winner of all categories will receive a trophy proclaiming him or her cook off
champion.
The cook off is part of October's Great American Cooter Festival, the city's month
long collection of entertainment and activities for the entire family. The cook off is open to
commercial or non-commercial entrants. Wallace Brooks Park is located off S. Florida Ave.

Constituent Outreach Meeting for District 5
