Letter to the Editor:
Reply to Town Lawyer Brad Bettin:
My letter to The Newscaster September 17 was about proposed Inglis tax increase
with specific points on reductions and ethical conduct. Town attorney Brad Bettin respond-
ed in the September 24 Newscaster attacking me and referring to all of us respected citizens
as "Minions" which is insulting, rude and out of place when he works for Inglis Citizens.
September 17 budget meeting was conducted by Mayor Kirkland who was totally out of
control with the worst display of screaming, and disrespect towards the citizens necessitat-
ing a deputy to be called. Only two Commissioners, Price and Smalldridge listened to us
--The "Minions" as Attorney Bettin calls us.
Attorney Bettin showed up cross state from Cocoa for the September 19 garbage
meeting and again at the budget hearing September 24 sitting with Mayor Kirkland's daugh-
ter. Bettin kept jumping up from the audience to the microphone making comments out of
order and grabbed the microphone from Drew White who was speaking at the time. Com-
missioner Price asked Bettin if he was there as a citizen or our attorney? I encourage you all
to listen to all three audio recordings on the Town of Inglis website and judge for yourself.
Yes, I'm concerned about The Town of Inglis attorney Brad Bettin, not only for my
wife's welfare and me but for all of us. What is he capable of doing to silence citizens?
I have been sending all Attorney invoices to The Newscaster for years. This is not a "ven-
