Free Program at A.F. Knotts Library
Enjoy a multicultural journey of imagination as award-winning storyteller, Carrie
Sue Ayver,  presents “Stories of Florida- Con Sabor!” at 2 p.m. January 18 at the Knott’s 
Public Library,  Eleven 56th Street, in Yankeetown. This free  program  is sponsored by the 
Florida Humanities Council and the Friends of the Library.  The public is invited.
WGP Participating in Give A Day, Get A Day
The Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve (WGP) at Yankeetown has been selected as one
of the sites for Walt Disney’s ‘Give a Day; Get a Day’ program. Walt Disney is encourag-
ing the public to volunteer at one of the selected public parks across the country. In return,
you  will  earn  a  day  at  Disney.    The  WGP  will  hold  their  volunteer  days  on  January  23 
and 24.  On Saturday, January 23, volunteers will participate in sprucing up the Preserve. 
Sunday, January 24, volunteers will sponsor “Withlacoochee Nature Day” for the public to 
learn more about our ecology, wildlife, and environment. Make this a family affair.   For

South Levy Little League
 
South Levy Little League will begin registrations for the year 2010 on Jan. 8th, 
15&16  and  22&23,  at  the  Food  Ranch  shopping  center.    On  Fridays  it  will  be  2:30-5 
:00p.m. and on Sat.  it will begin at 11:00 am until 2:00 p.m.  3 proofs of residence and a
