Republican Club Meeting
The January 2011 meeting of the Yankeetown-Inglis Republican Club will take
place on Tuesday, January 18th, 2011, at the Inglis-Yankeetown Lions’ Club at Hwy 40 &
59th Street, Yankeetown. The meeting starts at 6 PM allowing for some socializing and a
pot-luck dinner will be served at 6:30 PM.
The featured speaker will be Congressman-Elect Jimmie B. Smith, our recently
elected State Representative for Florida District 43. The Congressman is looking forward
to meeting and connecting with the constituents in his District. Congressman Smith will
also conduct the installation of the Club’s officers for 2011 as follows: President – Donald
Caldwell; Vice President – Kathleen Burke; Secretary – Carol Ross; Treasurer – Ellen
Shannahan. Members and guests please bring a tasty dish to share – the Club will provide

Volunteers Needed in Levy, Dixie and Gilchrist Counties
The Florida Department of Elder Affairs invites you to join the award-winning
SHINE Program team of Volunteers. The SHINE Program helps Medicare beneficiaries
make informed decisions about Medicare and health insurance.
SHINE Volunteers provide free, unbiased individual counseling to elders and their
caregivers about Medicare, Medicare Prescription Drug Plans, discounted or free drug pro-
grams, and related health insurance. Volunteers may also make educational presentations
to community groups or participate in local health fairs or senior outreach events.
