4. NO MORE Phone Trees. I want to speak to a person!! Not a machine. If I
loose my temper and use bad language I want a polite person with a mid-western accent to
tell me “Maam (I hate being called Maam) there is no reason to use that kind of language.”
I don’t want to hear Mechanical Mike saying he doesn’t understand my response. It just
isn’t satisfying to cuss at a robot.
5. Banks. You need to “give back.” Donate just a peice of your obscene profits to
a charity. Could you develop just a thread of humanity and help the people that put you in
that one percent?
And to people that read this column I would just ask that you be the person you
expect the world to be. Happy New Year. Cornelia Pickett is a 5th Generation Floridian and
