Pet Patrol
Training Offered to Become Animal Foster Home
Citrus County Animal Services invites citizens to attend an information/training
session on becoming a foster pet home for shelter animals to be held on Wednesday, Janu-
ary 20, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The training will be held at the Citrus County Animal
Services, 4030 S. Airport Road, Inverness, 34450. Please RSVP to Billie Lombardo, Citrus

Lane Closures on West Hampshire Blvd
Citrus County Engineering Division will be repaving portions of West Hampshire
Blvd. in Citrus Springs during the week of January 25, pending weather conditions. Citizens

The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners presented a Proclamation at their
regular meeting on January 12 recognizing the 90th birthday of local citizen Harold Seckinger
on January 21. Harold played double bass for the University of Florida Symphony Orchestra
and earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Florida. He is a registered pro-
fessional architect and a certified general contractor and has also served in many positions
in the South Florida Rotary clubs. Harold has had a lifetime love for classical music, and con-
ceived the idea for a youth orchestra in Citrus County. As the founding President of the Citrus
Youth Educational Symphonic Orchestra, and with the help of organizations his idea became a
reality.
