In addition to its regular weekly collection schedule, Citrus county’s Solid Waste
Division will be conducting a week-end drop-off program for residents on Saturday, January
16, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the county landfill. Participants may bring up to 60 lbs or 10
gallons of materials free of charge. Hazardous waste over the 60 pound limit will be charged
at 35 cents per pound. In observance of Martin Luther King Day, the Citrus County Central
Landfill will close early at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, January 18. The landfill will reopen for

The Citrus County Aviation Advisory Board will meet at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Janu-

The board will get updates on both the Crystal River annexation in relation to the

The board will also get updates on projects as well as the presentation made at the

In addition the board is expected to get an update on the Gaudette Electric proposal
for taxiway and threshold lighting for the Relocation Project at Crystal River Airport that is
scheduled for consideration at the January 12 county commission meeting.
