join in singing “Happy Birthday” to the park s resident hippo. Park volunteers will provide
cupcakes and drinks for the school children.
Lu, an African Hippopotamus, was born on January 26, 1960 at San Diego Zoo.
He weighed 90 pounds at birth and now weighs about 6,000 pounds. He was a star of mov-
