Levy County Schools Foundation 2nd Annual Beast Feast
The Levy County Schools Foundation will be hosting its 2nd Annual Beast Feast
on Oct. 8, 2011 at the Black Prong Equestrian Center at 450 SE CR 337, Bronson. Dinner
will begin being served at 5:30 pm.
Tickets may be purchased at any of the Capital City Bank, Drummond Commu-
nity Bank, and Perkins State Bank branches across Levy County. If your business, com-
munity organization, club or group of individuals would like to participate you may prepare
a food, donate door prizes, or an auction item.
There are also Sponsorships available for $500 and $250. Please contact the Levy

“75 Years of Local Education” at Yankeetown School, Oct. 29th
On Sat., Oct. 29, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Yankeetown School will cel-
ebrate its 75th anniversary, with tours of the older buildings. Others ideas for the event
include a digital photo collage in the auditorium, a technology exhibit, a tour of the mod-
ern classrooms, lunch in the cafeteria, entertainment, exhibits from 1936-2011 to include
cheerleaders past and present, sports teams, old employees, personal photo albums and
copy machine for duplicating pictures, along with t-shirts, photo collage discs, cookbooks,
coloring books, an event timeline, memory pages and Whose classroom was this?

Bingo Season Off to a Good Start
Thursday BINGO at the Yankeetown Inglis Woman’s Club is off to a great start.
All proceeds go toward college scholarships for local students and provide The Kind News
for 11 class rooms at Yankeetown School. Come early to purchase your BINGO cards and
enjoy fresh homemade goodies from the “Thursday Kitchen.” Doors open at 6pm, with
BINGO games beginning at 7pm.
