Hero's Welcome  - Continued from page 1
Pet Patrol
Arriving at the Crystal River Harley Davidson Motorcycle Shop in a van escorted by over
200 bikes, Romy received the “Keys” to the City of Crystal River and the day named in
honor of him by Mayor Ron Kitchen. An emotional ceremony left many of the well wishers
teary eyed. After the celebration there, the cycles escorted Romy to the gated community of
Black Diamond for a dinner and celebration parachute jump onto the golf greens.
Four “Para-Commandos” from the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) at
MacDill Air Force Base Tampa made an astounding jump from 2000 feet in front of the
crowd gathered around Romy. The C-23 Sherpa aircraft circled the group till clearance was
given. Each jumper represented one of the 4 commands in the US Military and each had a
different flag waving behind them as they drifted down to land. Lt. Col. Keith Walker posted
the American flag in his jump. The misting rain did not deter the excitement and there was
great admiration felt by the crowd for this soldier who gave so much.

driver, a female, admitted to having knowledge of the robbery.
During an interview, the driver said that she’d been a passenger in the vehicle dur-

she was pulled-over by deputies. Deputies surrounded the house and the girl called him on
