of Citrus County, water was getting dangerously high in certain areas:
*Fort Island Trail and Crystal Isles - Severe flooding reported by residents. At
this time, there is no water in homes. *State Park St. and N. Museum Pt. - Severe flooding
reported in the area; water was one foot high over the roadway. Water is still coming in, in
some spots. *Crystal River City Hall - Highway 19 has many flooded areas and side streets.
Crystal River Road Maintenance has posted FLOOD signs. *Port Paradise and the area
behind Crackers restaurant -
Flooded several inches. FLOOD signs are up there, as well. Standing water on NW
Fern Dr., which is still passable. *NW 6th St. and NW 14th Place. Some flooded areas.
*Aurora Acres and Wahoo Trail - A large retention pond has flooded. On Wahoo
Trail, the water has crested the roadway in some areas.
*Macrae s of Homosassa - the water is up, about level with the building. *Petes
Pier in Crystal River - The water is level with the boat dock. *Dixie Shores and Crystal
Isles - Water is coming in, but is about 2 feet from the roadway.
*Charlie s Fish House - Water is about 18 inches below the boat dock, and still
appears to be coming in. *NW 15th St. and NW 16th St. - Standing water in the roadway,
about 4 inches deep. *NW 20th Ave. - Standing water in the roadway, about 4 inches deep.
* The eastbound lane of NW19th St. near the intersection of NW 19th Ct. is flooded with
about 2 inches on the roadway. REMEMBER, If you must drive: *If you think the road
looks flooded, turn around! *When driving in neighborhoods, make it a no wake zone. Driv-
ing fast can cause water to go inside homes. *Don t use your hazard lights unless you are
stopped! *if you re using your wipers - your headlights should be ON!

The event is the dedication of the Crystal River Police Department Firing Range taking place
