Citrus County's
Beloved Pets
What creatures among us offer
their loved ones devotion on a daily basis,
no matter what; are always eager to please;
promise companionship forever, and un-
questioned loyalty until they reach their
journey's end.
There are 143,905,000 Ameri-
cans who are the happy recipients of these
rich emotional gifts because they made the
decision to include dogs and cats in their
lives. Cherishing animals and welcom-
ing them into our lives is a long-standing
American tradition, and as a people we
have happily provided life-long security
and stability to the lives of millions of dogs
and cats. In our households love abounds,
and the lives of all of us, blended together,
have been immeasurably enriched.
Now, let s look at some figures.
